Fun Fact: Local story from the world heritage city of Avila. Then the Visigods came in and kicked the Romans and adopted the Catholic religion but then they were invaded by the Muslims and Avila became a strategic spot. Owing to these fact, the men were sent to the war and Ximena Blazquez, the wife’s governor defended Avila with the help of the women and children from the city, therefore preventing the invasion.
